Rebecca Gayheart is an actress who has gained media attention for several controversies. She was born August 12th, 1971 in Hazard, Kentucky. Her mother worked as a Mary Kay beauty consultant and her father was a miner. When she was 15 years old, Gayheart moved to New York City where she enrolled in the Professional Children's School and then the Lee Strasberg Institute.
In 1990, Rebecca Gayheart was in her first film, a short for NYU called "Whatever Happened to Mason Reese?". The director, Brett Ratner, also cast her in a music video for "Heavy D" and the "Boyz". The following year, Gayheart got cast in TV ads for Noxzema, thus labeling her as "The Noxzema Girl". In 1992, got her first major acting role on "Loving", a soap opera. She also appeared on the series "Vanishing Son" in 1993 and 1994. From 1994 to 1995, Rebecca Gayheart was in the sci-fi show "Earth 2".
One of her more memorable roles came in 1995 as Antonia Marchette, Luke Perry's crush in the popular series "Beverly Hills, 90210". In 1997, Rebecca Gayheart started to get small roles in major films. She got her big break in 1998 when she was cast as a lead actress in "Urban Legend". However, her career did not take off afterwards as she had hoped.
In 2001, Rebecca Gayheart was the center of media attention after she killed a nine year old boy after hitting him with her car. The cars in front of Gayheart had stopped to let the jaywalking boy cross the road. Gayheart swerved around the cars ahead of her and hit the boy who died the next day. She was charged with vehicle manslaughter. In 2009, Rebecca Gayheart was in the tabloids again when a sex video of her with Eric Dane and Kari Ann Peniche (former Miss US Teen) was leaked online.
