Bar Refaeli comes from Israel as a model and sometimes acting. She was born mid '85 in her native country.

Her work in front of the camera may have something to do with her mum, who was also in the modeling world back in 70's. Bar Refaeli started off young, when she was a baby, but didn't really hit the spotlight until she was in her mid-teens. She signed up with Irene Marie Models. She was in Elle, Maxim, GQ but her big break came in '07 for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition as the 1st model from Israel to ever make it. Her appearance in Maxim in '07 saw her make it amongst 100 Hot Women on their poll. She also represented Subaru, Garnier, P Diddy perfume and others.

Apart from modeling, she put her popularity to good use and got involved in charity work for kids and animals in her region as well as caring for the environment. Being in front of the cameras also got her in some TV work in her native country as well as reality shows including ET!, Ellen DeGeneres Show, Late Show with David Letterman and others. She won an Award in 2009 in Crossover category for Young Hollywood Awards.

Being present in the public eye for her looks was the usual, but she was/is also present in the tabloids for her involvement with Leonardo DiCaprio. The two have been dating for a while but he is not of Jewish religion. This started the controversy that she shouldn't be getting hitched to someone who's not of the same religion as her and her partner considered taking on the new religion, if they ever plan to marry one day. Coming from Israel, it is also compulsory that all genders serve in the army, something that Bar Refaeli avoided.
